All members are invited to make an application for financial aid to assist their mission..Non members may apply with the approval of a local bishop and the member representative in your country.
Requests should be for production, equipment and/or training related to communications or media education. Criteria are available from the SIGNIS Pacific Secretariat.
All requests are screened by SIGNIS Pacific who make recommendations to SIGNIS International.
The financial assistance is from the Pontifical Society for the Propagation of the Faith.
It is important that projects submitted are part of an overall pastoral plan of a diocese/country/region.
Project Application Deadlines:
April 30 - SIGNIS Pacfic Secretariat.
June 30 - SIGNIS Pacific Notification to Applicants of changes, if necessary.
July 31- SIGNIS Pacific Screen Committee Recommendations
Sept 30 International Secretariat receives final projects from SIGNIS Pacific
December Projects submitted to Propaganda Fide
May Propaganda Fide makes decisions re grants.
July Notification to Propaganda Fide Director in each country.
September Funds are dispersed to local Nunciature/bishop/regional secretariat.
I.E. 18 month period between lodging your application with the SIGNIS Pacific Secretariat and the funds becoming available.
